So I think that for ReReReReReRebirth 1 aka ReVerse it would be preferable to get an upgrade package thats sold as a DLC instead of the full game. I hear the new construction system was good but I didnt get that far so Idk. It would have made more sense to fix the existing issues (which they hardly ever seem to do, thats a big problem) with bugs and DLC things messing up, broken rush attacks etc and to add VR as DLC. It was a snooze fest and I gave up at Noire's arc because it got so boring. instead of fixing bugs and rebalancing things that needed it, they yeeted quite some promising things and remade it to be worse. Though, I had a long list of issues with it, I still love the game.

My biggest issue with VII was that it was so easy. Especially since another playtrhough will make me break the 200 hour mark. I want a more challenging game, not an even less challenging one. I was hoping that 'arrange' meant that we could toggle/choose our own difficulty options. Unless knockback etc also applies to enemies. From the last ifi newsletter it sounded to me like 'arrange mode' means 'we made it even easier mode'. That said, I've been disappointed a lot, so I do not have high hopes for the new stuff they add. I want to play through it all again anyway. The new arrange mode sound promising and a complete, updated version might be nice. On one hand I want this, on the other I don't. Though I agree that few people who already bought the game will want to buy it all over again or shell out the cash for extra content, and especially if they bought all available DLC on the Steam release.

Well, it might be heavily recycled content, but it is still technically a new product thanks to being a remake and most companies don't just give away their remasters for free (except when they're mostly tweaks) and much less their remakes. It's been reported that game was remade from scratch on the OROCHI 4 And Mizuchi Rendering Engine like VIIR instead of the PhyreEngine. Discount for those who just bought the game and few DLC as I doubt any existing owners would throw down any money for this game AGAIN besides the shills. Though I have to admit, I have no clear idea whether RV is a remake on a new engine like VIIR or a remaster with bonus features (looks like it, but can't say for sure).įree upgrade for those who bought the game + all DLC which is fair in my opinion for a game that consists of heavily recycled content anyways. Originally posted by Red:Maybe not a free upgrade, but at least some kind of upgrade path with a heavy discount rather than having to buy the game all over again (say, through a "complete your collection" bundle).

Even if the pc version was perfect port of plus, re verse still has a ton of new content, which I hope makes it to pc as it’s own game, rather than more dlc for this game, making the mess even messier. Is there any chance we will see this version? The pc versions are such a mess that a port of that version is needed. The pc version was also slightly censored, removing some underskirt shots.Īll this is to say that re verse is the supposed “definitive” edition, with a confirmed western ps5 release.

The way these games are done is, confusing at best, the current pc version is a port of the vita version, which then got a PS4 port under the name “plus” which featured new content, some of which (cutscenes viewer, overworld party members) was ported as dlc to the the current pc version, but not all of it (plus exclusive party members) but even then that’s not all, as the gog version had some dlc not seen in the steam version (PlayStation magazine stuff, but I believe that’s been pulled now from the gog version) but the gog version never got the plus dlc stuff.
